Haha damn, I thought I had a great idea, for Wine workarounds, I could just detect Wine (easy), and then make the associated Linux system call from inside Wine using inline asm! [no surprise, it doesn't work]

https://gpfault.net/posts/drunk-exe.html - So it apparently is possible, likely I'm screwing up my register saves for the ABI differences ...

@NOTimothyLottes the two truths ive come to accept in life
a. theres to trick that unravels chess's complexity b. theres no trick that unavaels the existing software stacks complexity into something elegant

@NOTimothyLottes You could pretend to be an audio jack implementation? If impersonating wine doesn't work.
